Pinot Grigio

The grape variety Pinot Grigio is probably a genetic mutation of Pinot Noir. It belongs to the group of varieties called “international”, of French origin, and widely cultivated around the world. Germany (Grauburgunder), Austria and Trentino Alto Adige (Ruländer) and Hungary (Szürkebarát).

VINIFICATION

Manual harvest and selection of grapes. Gentle whole cluster pressing, soft pressing and racking by natural sedimentation. Slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in cement tanks. Aged for 5-7 months on the yeasts in cement tanks.

CLIMATE

The quality of the wines DOC Lechinta is ensured in the first place by the climate than that of the mineral soil clays of this area. The natural conditions encountered here are among the most favorable for the cultivation of white grape vines from which give rise to big aromatic wines with a distinct freshness and fruitiness.

The specific climate of the area is characterized by the appearance of morning mists already in late summer and well into autumn and to extreme temperature changes between day and night.
